You can have your water and drink it too.
Join us on one of 5BBC's most popular rides! Get your fill of Westchester's Croton Reservoir with three lake crossings: the Putnam Railroad Bridge, the Old Croton Dam (Gate House) Bridge, and the New Croton Dam. Ride also features the car-free Putnam Trail, gorgeous views from a lake shore road, and a visit to the best ice cream north of the Croton River.
Ride starts in Van Cortlandt Park, 242nd St & Broadway, 2 blocks south of the rest rooms. Ride distance is 37 miles and pace is 12-14 mph. Bring or buy lunch. Use the MTA TrainTime app to purchase ticket for return to GCT from Croton-Harmon (about $12).
Helmets are required on all 5BBC rides. Bring a spare tube. Ride could be canceled for bad weather; check your email before heading out.
