Unfortunately, because of a family matter, the ride needs to be postponed. Will be rescheduled.
 

Start those legs moving and make your early spring training productive with an extremely scenic ride, as we ride from Westbury up through the north shore Gold Coast to the exclusive community of Centre Island where we will get a look at Long Island Sound and make sure Billy Joel's home survived the winter.  Ride is accessible by car or public transportation.  Get back in shape and stretch your legs for about 45 somewhat hilly miles while enjoying the beauty of the north shore. 

Ride starts at 10:30 to allow a little warmth into the day.  The start location is the Westbury LIRR station (a train arrives from the City just before the start time).  Ride is listed as advanced moderate, but will be at the low end to allow the winter cobwebbs to recede.  Take hills at your own pace and we will regroup afterwards.  

Whether we stop for food will be determined by forecast and communicated by email to registered riders.  Don't forget to bring snacks and hydration. Also, as the ride starts late, please be sure to eat a good breakfast and have snacks as a lunch stop will also likely be late.  Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore new and unknown areas.
