A Case of the Mondays - Owl Head Park - the long way
Primary tabs

Why not try something new on Monday? Let's skip work and go for a bike ride outdoors. We'll take the long route to Owl Head Park. A large property with rolling hills, peaceful, meandering pathways, and breathtaking views of the New York skyline and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. It will be our only photo opportunity. We'll take familiar streets and greenways to get there. Maybe a new approach here and there. 38 miles in total. On the flats, the pace is advance-moderate (15-16 mph). We'll ride as a group with few stops. At mile 19.4 there is a bathroom and snack break. (Please bring your own lunch because the concession stands will not be open.) We will avoid the broadwalk if the wind is strong. And, rain at the start cancels. So, come hang out for the day. We'll get you back in time for that afternoon conference call.
Make sure your bike is in proper working order before you arrive. In addition to lunch, carry a spare tube(s), tools to fix a flat, patch kit, pump, nutrition, and water bottle(s).
