Ridgewood Reservoir and HOUDINI MONUMENT
Primary tabs

Join us as we ride through Brooklyn to scenic Highland Park to see the Ridgewood Reservoir, on the Brooklyn/Queens border. The Reservoir was built in 1856 and was used for the Brooklyn/Queens water supply for over 100 years. It was decommissioned in 1959 and ceased all operations in 1990. At it's peak it held over 154 million gallons of water. Did you know: The Reservoir's legacy survives in some local street names, FORCE TUBE AVENUE is named for the high-pressure water mains that once ran under it. Others are CONDUIT BLVD in Brooklyn, NORTH & SOUTH CONDUIT AVENUES in Queens and AQUEDUCT RACEWAY.
Our next stop is to Machpelah Cemetary to Harry Houdini's Tomb and monument. Then head to the Bushwick Collective - with blocks of creative murals.
Lunch will be at Artichoke Pizza, a fave.
