Join us as we explore scenic Greenwich, CT on a scout ride.  We will start and end  in Cos Cob and ride two separate loops in Greenwich.  There will be hills, but nothing higher than an 8.1% grade (according to RWGPS). Total elevation should be 2,106 for this 41 mile ride.

This is an Advanced Moderate ride, so you are expected to be able to maintain 14 mph on flat terrain.  We will regroup at the top of any climbs.

This being a scout ride, we will be analyzing the route for improvements and there could always be a missed turn…or two.

Lunch will be at mile 15.7, probably at the Back Country Market and Cafe, but there are other options in the Shopping Center.

If arriving by train, there is a Metro North train out of Grand Central at 8:05am, arriving at Cos Cob at 9:05 AM.  This is based on a schedule for the previous Saturday, 10/8, as the 10/15 schedule has not been posted yet.  We will check for any potential changes when the 10/15 schedule is posted.

All riders should come equipped with hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube and tire levers, sunscreen, snacks, full water bottles, front and back LIGHTS for going through a tunnel and in case we get home late, and a bike in good condition. Additionally be familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.
