Bear Mtn/Jones Point
Primary tabs

If our luck is golden, so might be the leaves as we ride the four miles up from Bear Mtn. Lodge to the top of the mountain. Alhtough famously daunting, the climb is completely doable with some determination and the view is spectacular. After the mountain, we will take the paved Jones Point Bike Path and later the unpaved Haverstraw River Trail to Nyack where we'll get some lunch before heading over the Mario Cuomo Bridge to catch a train home from Tarrytown. The unpaved portion is doable on skinny tires, you have to be VERY careful, but better on fatter ones. Start is by the big clock in Grand Central Terminal to catch the train to Garrison, We'll end in Tarrytown station.
Bring the usual water, snacks, spare tube and method of inflation. Sense of adventure advised.
