Highland Park Ridgewood Reservoir/Forest Park
Primary tabs

Join us as we ride to Highland Park around the Ridgewood Reservoir with breath taking scenic views at the high elevation. The Ridgewood Reservoir was built in 1856, and was used for the Brooklyn/Queens water supply for over 100 years. It was decommissioned in 1959 and ceased operations in 1990. At it's peak it held over 154 million gallons of water. We will head to Forest Park, which is car-free riding. We will have a lunch stop by the park.
You must be comfortable riding on city street and there are some hills. You must be able to maintain a speed of 12 mph on the greenways.
