Join us for a quick out-and-back jaunt from Cunningham Park to (Shirley) Chisholm Park. The route is 27 miles with less than 800 feet elevation at a cruising speed of 15 on the flats. (Our intent is to get you back in less time than the average club ride! LOL!) Anyhoo, to minimize using drops day-trippers should be comfortable cycling for long stretches at a time and closing any gaps that are not traffic related so that we ride as a group. We will take a short break in Shirley Chisholm Park and can do a lap before heading back. Along with the usual bike stuff you will need to bring snacks, hydration, and or lunch since there will not be an official lunch stop. It's more of a ride to open the legs and lungs so no sightseeing is involved. Since temps are presently predicted to be in the mid-40s we will start at 9:30 and still enjoy some atmospheric warmth. However, the ride start time may push back 30 mins. if day temps are in the 30s or will cancel if high gusts or inclement weather are forecast.
