In Like Flint - New Rochelle/Larchmont
Primary tabs

We head out from Central Park and through The Bronx by the beautiful Hutchinson and Shore Road bike trails. After entering Westchester the route takes us to three beautiful parks. The first park we get to is Hudson Park for some great views of the Long Island Sound. Our next park is Five Islands Park which has yet more delightful views of the Sound. From there, we ride down the busy Post Road for a while until we get to Flint Park and the Hommocks Conservation Area. This is a short nature path that takes us over wooden bridges and through a photogenic salt marsh.
Lunch will be INDOORS at the Nautilus Diner in Larchmont. It is essential that you bring PROOF OF VACCINE. This is good quality diner fare, and my parent's favorite. Lunch is at Mile 24 - so please bring snacks if you tend to get hangry. Heading home we ride through mostly residential neighborhoods in Larchmont, New Rochelle, and Mt. Vernon. Eventually, we hit Nereid Avenue and the #2 train, our final destination.
This ride is being listed as an Advanced Moderate Ride as it is over 30 miles and has 1,600 feet of climbing, with the steepest ascent of 9.7. In addition, you must be comfortable riding on well traveled urban roads. Please bring snacks, tubes, and the usual things that keep you safe and happy on a ride. ALSO - BRING LIGHTS, especially for getting home after the ride. In the event of "weather", please follow the web site for cancellation or revised start time.
