Bring some canned goods, cash and your appetite to do good. City Harvest has two fun events and we can bike to them. One event is at Battery Park. It involves an exibit of canned food sculptures. Past years' scultures have been fun, beautiful, humorous and creative. Admission to the event? Bring a can or two of food to donate. The second location is near Columbus Circle at the Green Market. Buy a bag of produce to donate. Buy some goodies for yourself. Bring a back pack or panniers to transport your goodies. We will stop for donuts, fried pickles and other goodies. After all, what kind of a 5BBC ride would this be without food? The route will take us over the Brooklkyn Bridge using the new bike lane. Helmets, masks, bike locks, money (both cash and card) and a can or two to donate are needed for this ride. PLEASE! If you sign up include your phone number in the roster. Route is in the works.
