Southfork Magic
Primary tabs

The forecast for Sunday is not good, rain and wind. So since Monday is a holiday for some, we are moving the ride to Monday.
This is the Springs variation of a scenic ride that is not to be missed that will tour some known and some hidden gems around the southfork - mostly in East Hampton Township. We did this ride as a Club ride for the first time a few years back, and it was a huge hit. There are some pretty amazing areas and homes as well as some great water views. This ride will start at the Bridgehampton LIRR station. If you drive, park at the end of the lot. A train from the City is scheduled to arrive at 10:13 for those on public transportation. Take a little vacation on the gorgeous east end.
Ride is around 51 miles, the final route is still under construction. The early parts of the rides are mostly flat. The middle and later parts of the ride have some hills, including the always fun to ride Bull with its great downhill. Ride is listed as advanced moderate given distant and some hills, but most of the ride will be at more of a touring pace in the high moderate range. Please be able to sustain 14mph on the flats when necessary.
There will be an outdoor picnic lunch stop somewhat later in the ride, so have a good breakfast and make sure to have snacks to hold you until lunch. It is better to bring lunch, but there is an option to purchase food and drinks at the Springs general store. So, please bring your lunch, snacks and sufficient hydration. Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore new and unknown areas.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: A reminder that you must register for the ride. Please 'unregister' if you can not make the ride so waited list folks can move up and take the slot. All riders should come equipped with a mask, hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube, sunscreen, snacks and a bike in good condition, as well as being familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.
