Huntington to Babylon - New Date, 10/28
Primary tabs

We meet on the North Shore in Huntington and make our way to the South Shore in Babylon. This is a point to point ride - starting and finishing in different locations, so you will need to come by LIRR. We avoid major roads, traveling through a variety of scenic Long Island neighborhoods until we reach the South Shore waterfront views.
This will be an upper moderate ride, meaning 14-15 mph on flat terrain. There are a few short, but steep hills in the first part of the ride getting out of the North Shore. Then we can put our bikes on cruise control. For those who do not bring their own lunch, we will be stopping at MIle 16 for a snack/bathroom break. There is a Dunkin Donuts, Subway and Chipotle available. We will not be stopping to pick up lunch anywhere else. The lunch spot will be at Central Islip Recreation VIllage Park at Mile 20.
After lunch, we reach the village of Brightwaters, with waterfront views of the Great South Bay and a short beach stop at Walker Park. Then onward to Babylon, where if we have time, we can stop for ice cream at Kilwin's before catching the LIRR back home from Babylon.
There is a train from the City arriving at Huntington Station at 9:35AM.
