This will be the first Staten Island 2021 perimeter patch ride for the season. Earn a Perimeter Patch by completing all 5 boro perimeter rides.  We will ride along greenways, through industrial areas, and neighborhood streets from newer communities to older neighborhoods. The ride is approx. 41 miles, mostly flat with low-grade elevations.

We will meet at 10:45 am at South Ferry, lower level of the Whitehall Terminal to board the 11 am ferry. Please allow yourselves enough time to get pass the friendly bomb sniff dogs at the security booth. Day-trippers leaving from Staten Island should be at the St. George's terminal by 11:25 am.

This will be a mid to upper moderate pace ride so please be able to maintain a pace of 14 mph on the flats. We are limiting the number of riders to 15 so that we can maintain a steady urban pace. Lunch will be just pass the 20 mile mark. This is an all day ride with wheels down promptly at 9:45 am and will end late afternoon. Only sign up if you are able to do this ride through the end. If you choose to leave the ride, you can fuggedaboutit, you will not get credit. Dem be the rules, I didn't make 'em.

Besides the usual bike stuff bring an upbeat attitude and a sense of adventure as we circle Staten Island. Please note face coverings must be worn at all times within the terminals and aboard the ferry. Please use the restrooms either at the terminal or on board the ferry as the first restroom stop is not until mile 11ish.

Please 'unregister' if you can not make the ride so waitlisted folks can move up and take the slot. If you are waitlisted, you will receive an email when a slot opens.
