9:30 New Start Time-Great scenic riding - spectacular coastline views and bits of history
Sunday, June 6, 2021 - 09:30

It will be a hot day, we want to start promptly at 9:30.  Join us as we ride through Northern Queens, on many greenways up by Little Neck Bay, onto the Joe Michaels Mile for a loop around Ft. Totten near the Throgs Neck Bridge.  We will ride into Great Neck and Kings Point, passing by the US Merchant Marine Academy to Steppingstone Park with lovely views of Long Island Sound - a real hidden gem, set on the coast line, with views of Manhattan, the Bronx and Westchester in the distance.  Lovely landscaped gardens including Cherry Blossoms and waterfront park marina and dock.   We will pick up lunch to enjoy picnic style at a Great Neck park.

This will be moderate-lite, please be able to maintain a pace of 12mph. You must feel comfortable riding on busy streets.

We will meet in the vacinity of Cunningham Park.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: A reminder that you must register for the ride and that the exact start location will be forwarded to the registered riders.  Please 'unregister' if you can not make the ride so waited list folks can move up and take the slot.  All riders should come equipped with a mask, hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube, sunscreen, snacks and a bike in good condition, as well as being familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.
