In conjunction with the Friends of Hutchinson River Greenway and in commemoration of Earth Day, we are sponsoring a ride to help clean up a portion of the Hutchinson River Bike Path under the Lehman High School off East Tremont Avenue.  We will be starting the ride in mid-Bronx and taking a direct route to the work site where we will meet up with other volunteers to help clean-up debris and clear overgrowth on a section of the path long overdue for grooming.   Thanks to local activist, Kevin Daloia, who has coordinated the support of the NYCDOT, Parks Dept and other local community leaders who will be providing tools, snacks, water, and PPE for the volunteers.

NOTE:  RIDE START TIME IS 9:15am; arriving at clean-up by 10:00am.

The ride will continue following the clean-up at 1:00pm via the Hutchinson River Parkway through Pelham Bay Park to City Island where we will stop for lunch before heading back to the start location.  A total of approximately16 miles of almost totally bike path!

Registration is limited to 12 riders plus two leaders.  As with all 5BBC rides, helmets are required and you are asked to bring your own spare tire, or repair kit and a bike in good condition.  If you cannot make the ride after registering, or change your mind, please unregister so another may take your place.   The exact meeting location will be emailed to the 12 confirmed riders the day before the ride.
