The Bayonne Bridge
Primary tabs

What to do if it's too cold to eat outdoors and unsafe to eat indoors? We can still have a ride if we don't stop for lunch. Instead, we start late (you can have a late breakfast), keep the ride short, and finish before dark.
We will take the 11:30 Staten Island Ferry from the Whitehall (Manhattan) terminal. Our route includes the Staten Island North Shore, Bayonne Bridge, Bayonne, Port Liberte, and Liberty State Park. Finish is at a PATH station in Jersey City. Pace is moderate (12-14 mph) and distance is under 20 miles.
Meet-up instructions and GPS/cue sheet will be emailed to registered participants. Please use the rest room in the ferry terminal. The first (and only) rest stop is at mile 14.
Participation is limited to 8 riders. Everyone else gets wait-listed. If you're on the wait list, you will get an email when a slot opens. The club website does not update your wait list status. Important: you must remove yourself from the list (or email the ride leader jzisfein@gmail.com) if you will not be riding. Failure to follow this instruction could get you restricted from signing up in the future.
Check your email before setting out. Any changes will be emailed to registered participants by 9:00 AM on ride day. Helmets are required on all 5BBC rides. Bring lights; we will finish the ride before dark but you still have to get home. Also bring a spare tube, water, and pocket food. We're still in a pandemic so wear a face covering and keep social distance.
