Queens to Central Park Pre-Holiday Ride

Saturday, November 14, 2020 - 09:30

Come join us on a pre-holiday ride from Queens to Central Park.  We take Queens Blvd/Skillman to the 59BR, crossing over to Mannahatta.  CP highlights include the General Sherman statue, Balto, new Women's Rights Activist statue, Alice in Wonderland, view the Obelisk, Bethesda Terrace (where John Wick was excommunicated), view Bow Bridge, and Strawberry Fields.  Outdoor ~1pm lunch will be at Wide World Intl Plaza, a private public plaza with several nice food choices.  Food links will be sent with the start location email on WED before the SAT ride.

Our loop back to the east will include a quick photo op of Radio City Music Hall/Rock Center skating rink.  No Rock Ctr tree, that comes after Thangksgiving. We visit Bryant Park and take in the holiday shops and decorations before going back to the start/stop location arriving an hour before sunset so we have some light to ride home.

This ride is rated moderate based on 35 miles distance, 1300 feet elevation, and urban city street riding and city traffic.
