We are scouting all sorts of roads from the middle of Long Island down by Timber Point and then to Heckscher State Park and then back up.  This is very much a true scout (meaning we do not know many of the roads or location of restrooms) and a true meander as we are investigating some back areas as well as main roads.  Not too many dead ends by water though on this ride.  Lots of turns on this 40-45 mile ride where we can expect a few wrong turns and whoops or two.  Let's see if parts of this ride are ready for prime time.

Normally, we would stop and pick up lunch, but under the current circumstances, please bring your lunch, snacks and sufficient hydration, as it is very unlikely that we will stop to pick up food.  Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore and discover.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: A reminder that you must register for the ride and that the exact start location will be forwarded to those on the ride. Please 'unregister' if you can not make the ride so waited list folks can move up and take the slot.  All riders should come equipped with a mask, hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube, sunscreen, snacks and a bike in good condition, as well as being familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.
