President to President; Early Manhattan Water's Edge Ride

Enjoy an early morning spin/cruise along the Manhattan Greenway waterfront. It's "up 'n' at 'em" for some brisk cardio and leg work, with virtually the whole day free for other things.

Expect a relatively quiet Greenway during our morning jaunt, so steady pacing, lots of great views, plenty of bails in event of "weather", restrooms along the way. Start is near the Hudson River on the UWS; finish well before noon on the UES next to the river.

RIde's "Moderate" pace will be steady with very few stops (12-15mph, depending on suitability); good bike handling, group riding, and urban awareness skills all needed. No motor-assist bikes. [FYI, leader is using a hybird with high pressure 35 tires, good for cruising and stability, and regular pedals with toe cages]. Exact meeting place, and route sheet, will be emailed in advance to registered riders.

Please review 5BBC's Covid riding policies and observe throughout the whole ride. No mask/helmet = no ride.

Bring hydration, snacks, bike lock.

Ride will be on even if some acceptably smallish chance of rain/showers. It's mostly flat riding anyway, temps are mild, and we're not so sweet that melting is of concern (plus there are bailpoints galore). In event of cancellation, notice will be posted by 10PM the night before plus sent via 5BBC's website to the registered rider list.
