Quogue and Surroundings
Primary tabs

We are scouting a 45 mile variation of a potential new scenic Long Island offering that heads out East to Quogue and surrounding areas with a potential for a quick dip in the ocean. Part of this ride was scouted on a longer and hillier version last October )hence the cover photo). This ride has only 650 feet of elevation gain with no grade over 2.3% (according to ridewithgps). Some roads are familiar, some are not, as it is a new variation, hence a partial true scout. I am sure we will make some wrong turns, both accidentally and deliberately as we explore.
Normally, we would stop and pick up lunch, but under the current circumstances, please bring your lunch, snacks and sufficient hydration, as it is very unlikely that we will stop to pick up food. Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore new and unknown areas.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: A reminder that you must register for the ride and that the exact start location will be forwarded to the first eight riders who have registered. Please 'unregister' if you can not make the ride so waited list folks can move up and take the slot. All riders should come equipped with a mask, hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube, sunscreen, snacks and a bike in good condition, as well as being familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.
