Let's learn about coffee together and the exciting NYC specialty coffee scene! Specialty coffee emphasizes quality, direct trade, sustainability, roast profiles, and innovative brewing methods. This bike series will focus on visiting a specialty coffee house during our rides, with an emphasis on roasters based in the NYC region. 

For the first ride in the series, we will visit About Coffee NYC located on Sullivan Street in Soho. In addition to enjoying the traditional espresso-based drinks, you can also order their specials: Caffe Cardamo and Lungo Lemon. It serves Gimme! Coffee, a roaster based on Ithaca and NYC. 

Our first ride will be a Happy Face pace (10 to 12 mph), to be enjoyed at a relaxed pace, just like how we drink a good cup of coffee. Even if coffee is not your thing, please join us. We'll ride through the beloved neighborhoods of Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Clinton Hill, Williamsburg, Boerum Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, Lower East Side, East Village, Greenwich Village, Soho, Tribeca, Civic Center, and Chinatown. Miles traveled will be just under 20 miles. 

Rain at start of ride will cancel ride. Required: helmet, inner tube, air pump, money for food/drinks, lock.
