Ride to Lobster (Via Beach) 2019 Edition
Primary tabs

Ride is going! We will be using one of two possible routes.
This is the RideWithGPS for out and back option which maximizes time on the boardwalk
Good news. Roy Fischman (former President of Staten Island Bicycle Assocation and the guy who brought you that weekend trip in June to PA Dutch country) likes lobster too! But he likes to ride faster pace. So he will be leading a parallel ride, starting and ending at same places but likely keeping Advanced Moderate / Quick Spin Light pace and not using Point-Drop -Sweep). So if you are interested in doing that ride with him - please advise the leader and I will connect you two!

I forgot to list this ride this summer.
They will have great lobster at their typical great price. It's their annual fundraiser so $10 a pop! Who is up for it?
We will be going along the beach in both directions so if the weather is to your liking you can end your ride anywhere along the way.
This will be another Happy Face / Moderate ride. I will be up front training for my Israel ride, going as fast as I can (aka Moderate pace of 15-17 on the flats) but the sweep loves Happy Faces and is going to gladly sweep at whatever pace our slowest rider needs to go (hopefully in the 12-15 range on the flats).
And for the elevation junkies - this is not your ride. Not even 500 feet all the way out and back. Easy Peasy! (Let's just hope there is no wind or rain). It is mostly flat.
Just shy of 27 miles on the way out from Grand Army Plaza via Jacob Riis. A nice long rest/dining stop at Jordan's for lobster lunch and the LIRR is only 1.3 miles from there rounding you up to 28.
The ride will officially end at the LIRR in Long Beach for those who want to train back. And a total of just shy of 52 miles total if you choose to do it all and ride back with us,
