This is the weekend version of a new ride part of the expanding east end ride series.  We will continue to offer a series of rides on the east end of Long Island, exploring the beauty of the North and South Forks, and of course Shelter Island.  Some of these rides have been offered previously. Some like this one are brand new this year.

For this ride, the fall weekend version, we will explore parts of the Northfork on a 50ish mile scenic journey, as we tour mostly the western parts of the area. We meet at 10:45 at the LIRR train station in Mattituck. A LIRR train is scheduled to arrive at that time. So your options are the LIRR, driving, car pooling, or the Hampton Jitney bus.  If taking the Jitney, you want the Northfork option and should call them to reserve a space for your bike, as they do take bikes in luggage area.  Also, if you are driving out, please, please contact us if you have room and can take additional folks and their bikes.  Bring hydration, snacks as the lunch stop is late, lunch or money for lunch and of course an upbeat inquisitive attitude.
