This is a midweek Long Island scout of a potentially fantastic ride. Come along and help us determine if this route is pretty enough, challenging enough, and most importantly, fun enough to become a regular on our list of faves. It's a scount so wrong turns will be made, both accidentally and deliberately as we explore the area and find the Noah Hallock historic homestead. Ride will meet at 9 AM by the Dunkin Donuts on the north side of the tracks at the Ronkonkoma station on the LIRR. There is a train leaving Penn Station direct to Ronkonkoma at 7:37am, scheduled to arrive at  9:01. From Atlantic Terminal Brooklyn take the 7:39 to Far Rockaway and change at Jamaica for the Ronkonkoma train. There are quite a few trains headed back to the City from Ronkonkoma but as sunset is at 6:12pm on the 17th, you should bring lights, espcially if you plan on riding home from the station.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT:  In order to participate you must email me and share your cell number.  I will confirm your participation and share any additional logistics. Please bring hydration, snacks (we are scouting food stops, so who knows), lock, money for train and a potential food shop.  Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore new and unknown areas.
