We are scouting a potential new scenic Long Island offering, a ride from the Mastic-Shirley LIRR train station heading out East to Quogue, riding by the Quogue Wild Life Refuge and then back to the start.  Some roads are familiar, some are not, as it is a totally new ride and hence a true scout as we try to to determine the scenic value of the ride, the suitability of roads, potential rest rooms and food stops. I am sure we will make some wrong turns, both accidentally and deliberately as we explore. 

We will meet at 9:45 AM, as there is a train scheduled to arrive from the City at 9:43.  We will be back to Mastic-Shirley in time for the 4:29 train back to the City.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT:  In order to participate you must email me and register for the ride. Please bring hydration, snacks(we are scouting food stops, so who knows), lock, money for train and a potential food shop.  Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore new and unknown areas.
