Let's ride out to the Empire Diner in Hicksville for lunch and stop on the way back at Bob's General Store in New Hyde Park.  It's an old fashioned mom and pop candy store with great gifties.  Looking for blackjack gum, teaberry, neccos, penny candies no longer a penny, diecast ice cream trucks, spaldeens, toys -- this is the place!  I guarantee a fun day will be had by all!!!  Please note that there are very few bike lanes in Nassau county and you need to feel comfortable riding on some main streets.
