This Wednesday, August 28, is the official grand opening of the new Kosciuszko Bridge connecting Brooklyn and Queens.  Wednesday, from 12 PM Noon to 6 PM, the new Brooklyn-bound span will be open exclusively for pedestrians and bicyclists, before it opens to vehicular traffic Thursday morning. We will ride from Cunningham Park to the Bridge, take the path into Brooklyn and then head back over the bridge to Queens and make our way to Cunningham Park with a stop at a pizza and falafel place on Main Street.  As the food stop is very late in the ride, please bring snacks to hold you over.  Bring the usual 5BBC requirements, money for food, hydration and an upbeat inquisitive attitude.
