Let's see how the One Percenters lived
Primary tabs

If you know of the Vanderbilts, then you may know that they were the richest and most powerful family in the world, not just the country. And, if one translates their wealth and into todays world, they would still be at the top of the global food chain. And yet, what kind of people were they? Knowing them only as the One Percenters is unfair to them and us. This visit to one of their smaller homes can provide us with a view of those Super Wealthy.
We start our trek at Grand Central Terminal at 8:25 to take the 8:42 AM Train or 125th St. Station at 8:35 to take the 8:52 AM train to Poughkeepsie. From there, we'll cycle about 10 miles north to the Vanderbilt Estate, enjoy a tour, have lunch and return to the railroad station for the trip home. By the way, everything from GCT to Poughkeepsie was built by them, not the MTA. Interested in knowing the real history?
