NOTICE NEW START TIME TO BEAT WORST HEAT 8:30AM!!! THIS RIDE IS GOING SEE YOU AT 8:30!

There is a desire to start earlier. If you plan to attend, please register and let the leaders know what would be the earliest time you could be at Cunningham Park and we may decide to leave a bit earlier to avoid the worst heat. 

WEATHER ALERT: As of Thursday 6pm we still plan to hold this ride. It's going to be hellishly hot, so we will adjust the route to stop at as many McDonald's as possible. They have $1 any-size-you-want pops and bathrooms and also free ice and water refills I have noticed recently.

We will make our final decision by 7:30am Saturday so check back in case we decide to cancel. But given it is a unique date and experience - we don't plan to cancel as of now.

July 20th 1969 - a man first stepped on the moon.

This ride will take us from Cunnigham Park to Garden City where there is a museum honoring New York's role as the Cradle of Aviation.

Further details will follow but basically this is a 10 mile ride from Cunningham Park to the museum. We have made special arrangements for our bikes. We will then ride the 10 miles back at the end of spending some time there to Cunningham Park.

One thing that is KEY if you want to join this ride and experience all that the museum has to offer. PLEASE make sure you sign up ASAP for a ticket to enter the museum. It is $20 for this unique exprience. And you can buy your ticket here.
