Join me on a scenic ride through Palisades Park, Nyack, Bear Mountain, & return. We plan to climb Bear Mountain and take in the view. Lunch in Nyack.

Palisades Interstate Park and Bear Mountain region are very hilly. Road bikes only.

Helmets are always required. Gloves and appropriate attire is strongly suggested, along with two spares, pump or CO2, snacks, & 2 full water bottles. .

We don't expect to ride north above 18mph on the flats. There will be plenty of elevation. We will likely meander through Palisades Park and Bear Mountain. We will climb Perkins Drive. 113.2 miles  +9060 feet elevation. Average speed uphill: 5-8mph. (Option: if you are too exhausted to climb Bear, take photos on Bear Mountain Bridge and we will join you there.)

Rain or high winds at the start of the ride or a grim forecast will result in cancellation of the ride. Note: if the forecast is off and the temperature drops, please plan accordingly. We will provide you with a cue sheet. We will return home on a different route, staying on the west side of the Hudson river.
