Tuesday Update:  Well the weather remains dreary.   The forecast for tomorrow doesn’t promise us any sun, but it doesn’t look like too much wet stuff, maybe a passing drizzle or shower.  So, the ride is on with a caveat that we might change the destination from Sunken Meadows and a full scout, to Hecksher State Park and a partial scout.  Heckscher means a flatter ride with some bailout options if needed.  That will be a morning decision.  Please register and see you in the morning.

So, once again we are doing midweek scout of a potential furure ride.  This is a totally new ride and hence a true scout as we try to to determine the scenic value of the ride, the suitability of roads, potential rest rooms and food stops. I am sure we will make some wrong turns, both accidentally and deliberately as we explore.  Ride will meet at 10:00 AM by the Babylon train station on the LIRR and will take a totally indirect, meandering route to Sunken Meadows. There are trains scheduled to arrive at Babylon at around 9:50.  There are quite a few trains headed back to the City from Babylon.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT:  In order to participate you must email me and share your cell number.  I will confirm your participation and share logistics, especially how we will meet in Babylon. Please bring hydration, snacks(we are scouting food stops, so who knows), lock, money for train and a potential food shop.  Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore new and unknown areas.

50-55
