We have been thinking about a new potential series of rides. It would be a midweek series, meeting two-three times a month, depending on weather and time of year, at various LIRR stations around the Island (probably most frequently at Ronkonkoma).  Most of the rides will not be scouts, but some might be.  This is a semi-scout, as we get a ride finalized for Spring Training. As regards this ride, we are meeting by the ticket machines on the south side of the Ronkonkoma train station, at the center of the large parking lot.  Meet time is 10:30ish, as there is a train arriving from the City at 10:37.  Weather is supposed to be amazing for early February with temps in the 50s.

The ride is a bit longer than 40 often scenic miles, perhaps more if we further explore, but I doubt more than 45. Some hills, one quite real, but overall elevation gain is about 1400-1500 feet.  A couple of places where we are exploring, hence, it is part a scout.
