Jumel Jaunt

Sunday, August 5, 2018 - 12:30

Our historical series continues with a Sunday afternoon ride and tour of one of Manhattan’s oldest houses.
The ride will go to the Morris-Jumel Mansion in upper Manhattan, where we will join a 2:00pm tour of the house. Admission is $10 for Adults, Seniors/Students $8
There will not be a formal lunch stop on this ride, but you can bring a snack (or buy one nearby) to eat in Roger Morris Park, which surrounds the Mansion. After the tour we will ride across the Highbridge and see a few more green spots before returning to Central Park.
(rain at start cancels; check this website if in doubt)

This ride is intended as a fun opportunity to introduce new riders to the club. Feel free to bring your friends, and do a 2-minute bike check with them beforehand if they haven’t used their bike in a while.
As a reminder of the club 's policies:
• Newcomers ride free the first time; for subsequent rides they must be members ($25/year, $30/household)
• Helmets mandatory
The ride will end at the north entrance to Central Park. Participants can cycle back to Columbus Circle through the park on their own, or take the 2 or 3 subway at 110 Street Station Central Park North station.
Bring: lock, water, $ for admission, jaunty disposition.
