This is a beautiful 60+ mile route with some shady sections. By request, we'll be starting from the GWB, leaving us a couple of options to shorten the ride. The goal is to visit the summit of Bear Mountain and continue on to Cold Spring to take the Metro North home. We’ll have 2 deli stops plus a couple of pit stops with our final stop at the Cold Spring Depot for well deserved food and drinks on the terrace.

- Make sure your bike is in GOOD working order.
- Pump up tires to the pressure specified on the sidewall.
- Bring essentials: helmet [REQUIRED], 2 spare tubes, pump, patch kit, 2 water bottles, pocket food, ID, and cash.
- You must have a Metro North bike pass (can be purchased in advance at the ticket window in Grand Central or by mail: http://web.mta.info/mnr/html/mnrbikepermit.htm).
- Eat a good breakfast consisting of carbohydrates and proteins.
