We're here to right an injustice. Out of five boroughs, four have beaches. But, not one 5BBC ride went to a Bronx Beach this year. If I'm wrong, tell me about it. After all, where else can go to the beach, visit an orchard or two and pick fruit right off the trees. Is this not a great country or what. So, here's the deal. Take the #2 or #5 train to the 180th Street station. Look around while you walk through the building and then meet us outside on the Plaza. After the usual 5BBC Day Trip rituals, we'll meander through comfortable Bronx streets and parks to Orchard Beach. As per the time-tested Beach Bumming tradition, we'll stop along the way to pick up our lunch. Once at the beach, we'll enjoy the sand, salt air and waves. Bring the usual locks, money(They don't grow on trees.) and suitable beach apparel. Don't worry. We won't strand you in this Robert Moses paradise. We'll bring you back to the Spanish Style Subway station afterwards. So come. Enjoy.
