To Armonk and back to Yonkers - Brewery
Primary tabs

UPDATE: We're riding!
Start is pushed back to 10 am
And, if it rains during the ride.......we get a little wet ;-)
**********************************************************************************************
Quick Spin Lite
16MPH on the flats.
Meet at last stop of #1 train, Van Cortland Park, by the stairs on the park side. Broadway and West 242st.
Riders must be able to maintain 16 MPH on flat roads.
We make our way out of the city by heading north along Van Cortland Park. Once we cross over into Yonkers we make our way East towards the center on Westchester, before heading north again.
Once past White plains the roads open up and we can get consistent speed going.
Our lunch stop will be around mile 23 in quiet town of Armonk, home to the famous......? ? ? DeCicco & Sons supermarket? I once saw Chazz Palminteri getting a sandwich at a deli nearby, for realz.....
Afterwards we head north again reaching the our farthest point north, Mt Kisco, where we make our turn back south.
Our destination is Yonker Brewing company for a refreshing beer. The ride ends here and the Metro North train station is right across the street in case you're not up for a ride back to Van Cortland Park for the #1 train.
This ride is a nice introduction to the open roads of Westchester.
