Everything you always wanted to know about fixing flats! We will bring a pile of punctured tubes and patches. You bring your bikes and curiousity. The class will cover the basics of changing flats, finding the source of the puncture, and how to patch tubes reliably. We'll also cover booting and other tricks that may get you back on the road even when all seems lost. You will get a chance to practice patching on several tubes - you can take home some of them as spares, and leave some for your leaders to give out on other rides when someone has a flat. Please be on time as we will ride to a spot within Prospect Park to conduct the class. Heavy rain at start cancels.

Registration requested: when registering please mention your tire size (look on the side of your tire for something like "700x28" or "26x1.5" or a hyphenated number like "28-622") and valve type (same as a car tire (Schrader) or much skinnier (Presta)) so we can bring some repairable tubes that fit your bike.  Class will end at noon.
