Hope you would like to join us for a day in Philadelphia! We are flexing how we travel - a few people have offered to drive with bike racks and some may go the day before and stay through the day later though we are not posting as a weekend trip since it is not yet finalized - keep checking back here and posting any questions, we will update with answers and current status as we have it.

• 5BBC Takes Philly For a Day! Joining up with a meetup that is going too!

• There are many beautiful views and inspirational spots scattered throughout Philadelphia --there's no better way to explore/experience than by bike. We will explore Art, History, City Views, Nature, and of course check out the 2017 Philly Bike Expo. Don't forget try some of Philly's delicious food!

  So, join us as we take over Philly for the day! Tell your bike friends, book your ticket, and let's go make memories and have a lot of FUN!

  Itinerary

  TAKING THE TRAIN:

  5:30 am - Meet at NYC Penn Station / 

  • We meet at Amtrak Passenger Waiting Area (Across from Krispy Kremes)

  6:02 am - Depart NYC

  7:27 am - Arrive in Philly

  **FYI- This is the only train that will allow you to take your bike aboard. If you aren't able to catch this train, you may want to make other arrangements.

  DRIVING:

  6:30 am - Meet at BPL -- 25 4th Ave. between Dean and Pacific 

         * If you prefer to travel together we will meet here -- if not, we will see you in Philly! Please confirm if you will be driving and will be able to let other riders carpool.

   

  8:30 am Philadelphia, PA

  All riders should meet at 2101 South St. for Breakfast 

  Honey's Sit In - 2101 South St., Philadelphia, PA

  9:30 am - Explore Philly by Bike Tour (25-30 miles--10-12 mph and an opportunity for photos) We will end the bike ride at the Expo.

  1:30 pm-5:00 pm 2017 Bike Expo (Lunch on your own-They will have food trucks at the expo or pack a lunch.)

  5:30 pm- Dinner We can't leave Philly without grabbing a FAMOUS cheese steak!  

  After dinner - everyone is free to continue to explore the city on their own or head back to NYC.

   

  Depart back to NYC

  By train:

  10:00 pm Meet at Philly Penn Station

  10:28 pm Depart Philly

  11:56 pm - Arrive at NYC Penn Station

  By car:

  7:00 pm - Will leave after after dinner.

  1. Book your Amtrak ticket as early as possible to secure a spot for your bike.

  NYP to PHL 6:02 am - 7:27 am ($39 one way)

  PHL to NYP 10:28 pm - 11:56 pm ($39 one way)

  $40 bike transport fee

  Total: $118 round trip

  **Be sure to book the trains with bike storage.***
