WEATHER UPDATE 3: second final update :)

rain came AMS hard and fast seems to have passed. Waiting until 1015 at gap and 11 at Bushwick collective in st Nicholas avenue.

WEATHER UPDATE 2: Final Update

As of 8:47am Sunday - the forecast is for light drizzle and in some cases potentially more today. But 4 people have told me they don't mind riding in this weather and Rudy is willing and able to do it also so we will hold the ride starting at 10am from GAP - wait under the cupola beyind where we usually start. If rain becomes too heavy - we will pause or cancel ride. Hope you can make it. Ride is ON!

WEATHER UPDATE: Please check back to the web site at 9am For a final update.

As of 9:24pm Saturday night (Allan writing), one forecast is for 29% chance of Drizzle between 5am and 3pm with temperatures between 72 and 80. Another is for 80% chance of rain at 7am dropping 10% each our until 1pm when it is 10%. The total amount of rain is from 0.03" at 7am to 0.01" starting at 9am. This is not a lot of rain. So my plan is to confirm by 9:15am if the 10am time will stand, or, what is more likely, we shift 30-60 minutes out if the rain has not stopped until it does. I will post with an hour's notice the new start time.  If the forecast is for more rain throughout the day, we will cancel by latest 10:30am as I would prefer not to start the ride much later than 11:30am.

If you are willing to ride in the rain, please e-mail allan5bbc@gmail.com and we will hold the ride if even one person is interested.

Call the pieces grafitti.  Call them murals.  Whatever term you want to use - we have some amazing art on walls all over NYC.  Five Pointz may be gone - but there are still some talented artists plying their spray cans in other areas of NYC.   In today's ride we visit two well known and juried graffiti locations, The Bushwick Collective in Brooklyn and Welling Court in Queens.  We also make another stop in Brooklyn along Meserole and Waterbuy Streets.  This could be one of the most photogenic rides of the year.  Along the way we will be riding through the neighborhoods of Bed-Stuy, Bushwick, Greenpoint, LIC and Astoria.  This is a Happy Face Ride, and when we get to each of these locations we will give you time to wander around on your own exploring whatever works float your boat.

Lunch spot has yet to be determined, so stay tuned to this page.

Bring - Tube, lock, $$ for lunch and a love for art.
