New to Brooklyn or to the 5BBC? Like safe rides with beautiful sites? Enjoy German food & live music?

Whether you are a new member on your first 5BBC ride; or if you consider yourself a hardened NYC bike-pro, you will love this great 19-mile Happy-Face ride around some of Brooklyn's best bike paths and bike lanes. We start in Prospect Park at 10:15 AM and then tour through scenic areas of Gowanus, Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Dumbo, Williamsburg, Greenpoint and Bed-Stuy.

95% of the route is on bike lanes, with many protected bike paths, and beautiful waterfront scenery. We will ride up the Brooklyn waterfront and meander in beautiful McCarren Park. Lunch will be at Radegast Hall for Oktoberfest. They will have some great live music starting at 1:00 PM. The ride finishes back at Grand Army Plaza late afternoon.

RIDE CANCELLATION POLICY

Ride will be canceled if there is heavy rain between 8:30 & 9AM. Otherwise, we will be at Grand Army Plaza at 10:15 AM rain or shine. If there are any serious concerns, will make a determination then. Do check this 5BBC ride page in the morning, just in case.
