Since 1909, Eddie's Sweet Shop has held down the same corner of Metropolitan Avenue.  Not a lot has changed since then.  Virtually everything is made on the premises—including the hot fudge, caramel, butterscotch, strawberry syrup, coffee syrup, and whipped cream—all with only fresh ingredients. They offer around 20 flavors, all names you'd recognize on a menu from a half century ago: vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, coffee, and rum raisin (real rum is used!).  Their milk shakes and malteds are spectacular.  The decor was last updated in the 20's or 30's, and a visit is a step back in time.  To get there and back we ride through some interesting parts of Queens - burning off some of the calories.  Hope you can join us.

There will be no lunch stop on this ride - it's all about the ice cream.  So...feel free to bring a snack.
