Technical Training Ride Series
Saturday, April 15, 2017 - 08:45

In this rural area of Jersey the hills are getting steeper to climb, and on the downhills to pick up speed faster.  It is great training area to accelerate on the downhill to your max, to use the momentum to propel you faster back-up.  Keep sitting on your seat to just push up a little bit more to reach the top to admire the landscape before it goes back down.

Average speed: 14-16 mphs on flat.  Road bikes only.

Snack Breaks: Panera Bread at 19mile, Polski Smak at 38.4

Where we will meet:  Penn Station (31 Street/8 Avenue) at 8:45am. Train Time: 9:11 to Denville (Dover Line)

Tickets: Roundtrip to Denville

Technical Training Skills: Hill Climbing

The rides will have a fair amount of elevation gain. Take all hills at your own space but pay attention to technique. It is not just about getting to the top, but in learning how to improve your skills at reading a hill, or improving your technique at conquering the hills.
