Brooklyn Parks - Winter Edition
Primary tabs

Calling all Happy Face Riders - and our regular steady Winter crew. If you have never taken a Winter ride before - this is the ride for you. The light is different in the Winter, and there is a stark beauty to many of these parks. Stating at Grand Army Plaza, we ride to Red Hook to visit Erie Basin Park and the Valentino Pier. We then ride through the gorgeous Brooklyn Bridge Park for those iconic views of Manhattan and the Bridges. The ride then heads up to Williamsburg and Greenpoint where we visit Grand Ferry Park, Bushwick Inlet Park, and Transmitter Park. Our final park is Nature Walk. Hard by the Waste Treatment Center, this park is no less weird on a cold Winter's Day.
After riding through the parks, we then have a short spin to the Polish Slavic Center for some amazing rib sticking food. PSC is known for their cheap prices, large portions, and delicious food. There is nothing like a hot soup on a cold day.
If you are new to Winter Riding - wear your layers to help regulate the heat. Make certain that your hands, feet and ears are well protected. Take a thermos with a hot beverage. And bask in the warmth of a friendly 5BBC ride. Riding in the Winter is more than accepting the challenge - it is also just damn fun. Join Us!
