The Fast Route: Central Park to Stamford

Saturday, November 5, 2016 - 08:30

This 56.3 miles/ ride with 2,975 ft of elevation gain from Manhattan leads us through New Rochelle, Westchester to Stamford. The ride starts at Columbus Circle where we make our way slowly out of the city.  The turns, lights and traffic dampen our speed but we keep moving as fast as possible. As soon as we hit Pelham Park Bay and enter Westchester county we pick up the pace to 16mphs/flat and start climbing hills. The urban landscape changes to beautiful suburban roads.  At Stamford, we take the Metro North Train back to 125 or Grand Central Station.

There will not be an lunch stop. Instead we have 2x30 min breaks. The breaks might be shorter depending on the group.
