YES! Governor's Island has one too - and it's the last day of ferry service!
Sunday, September 25, 2016 - 10:00

Based on feedback about the length of our first treatment in this series of Manhattan, for our second we are going to the other extreme and doing only lower Manhattan up to the 30's. This will be a Happy Face ride in both length and pace, though we may come back down the east side greenway as quickly as we can, to make the Ferry over to Governor's Island. If you have not cycled there yet, this may be your last chance of the season as Ferry Service ends this day. And yes, there is indeed a Synagogue there too. Bring picnic lunch and we hope to find a place to pick up if you prefer something to go in the Lower East Side. Basically - it's buildings that were once synagogues and are now something else (typically churches) and we look for signs of their lost purposes. Also we will potentially pass by one of the oldest cemeteries in the city. Check Sunday mornig for any change due to weather but should be a nice first ride of fall!
