Brooklyn Perimeter

Saturday, September 3, 2016 - 09:00

TIP: For those joining us, the lunch stop occurs somewhat late into the ride, so please have breakfast and bring some snacks to hold you until lunch.

The Brooklyn Perimeter (with a moment in Queens) is back again for our annual trip where we take you along the edges of the borough showing off Brooklyn's diversity from beautiful waterfront, to industrial centers, from hip neighborhoods to old time neighborhoods. And we have a stop in the most surreal of places "the Hole", where one side of the street is Brooklyn and the other Queens. This is a mostly flat ride with one real climb, an excellent ride to prepare for the NYC Century. Bring water, sun screen, a lock, money for lunch and an upbeat inquisitive attitude. The ride is listed as advanced moderate because of distance. We will maintain a steady urban pace over the 50-55 miles of the ride. Start point is Brooklyn Borough Hall by the fountains in front of the courthouse.
