Bike your own apples!
Primary tabs

We'll take a 7:43 train from Grand Central to the river-side town of Peekskill, NY, then pedal up the hill away from the Hudson to pick your own apples at Wilkens Fruit and Fir Farm- conveniently located right next to the North County Rail Trail. After stuffing our panniers with apples, donuts, pie, etc. (better for getting speed going down hill) we'll roll 35 miles on the car free North County, South County, and Old Putnam Trails to the Bronx and jump on the subway home.
Bring Metro-North bike pass, money/packed lunch, panniers or other bike bags for apples, cider, pie, donuts, etc. and a good disposition as always! :)
PLEASE MEET AT THE INFORMATION BOOTH IN THE MIDDLE OF GRAND CENTRAL STATION AT 7:30AM.
or . You can also board the train at 125 Street. If you are planning to meet us anywhere besides GCT, please notify the leaders so we can meet up with you.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE QUITE A FEW HILLS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE RIDE. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH CLIMBING THIS MAY NOT BE THE RIDE FOR YOU.
