This is a new fun and exciting ride.  Come join us for a pleasant, scenic and mostly flat ride, the majority of which will be on bikeways with no motor vehicle traffic.  We will meet at 9;30 at the Massapequa Long Island Railroad Station.  There is a LIRR train scheduled to arrive at Massapequa at 9:26 you can catch the train from Penn Station, Atlantic Terminal Brooklyn (with a transfer at Jamaica) or other stops in between.  We will meet by the Dunkin Donuts on the corner of Veterans Blvd and Ocean Avenue.  Our ride will take us down to the edge of Massapequa and then back on to the Bethpage Bikeway to its end, then on to mostly (but not always) traffic light suburban streets, as we make our way down to the bikeway to Jones beach and then out on the Ocean Parkway bikeway, before heading back to the start.  Registering for the ride is strongly encouraged.  Please bring sufficient hydration, sunscreen, a lock, money for lunch and snacks, and of course an upbeat positive and inquisitive attitude.
