Start location: Carl Schurz Park, 87th Street & East End Avenue

The Bronx River Alliance HAS CANCELED THE CANOE RIDE DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST. 

We will still be offering to lead a bike ride to the Bronx with a later start time of 9:30am and a opportunity for a swim at the floating pool at Baretto Park before proceeding to the High Bridge and terminating at the Member's Meeting.

The round-trip bicycle ride from Manhattan to the Bronx  is 15 miles at a happy-face pace of 10 mph. Bring a bike lock, $ for lunch, and sunscreen. We meet at Carl Schurz Park, 87th Street & East End Avenue. We will ride via Randall’s Island and the new connector from Randall’s to the Bronx.  Detour to Baretto Park for an optional FREE swim in the NYC Parks Dept floating pool.   Finally, we enjoy al fresco lunch at the recently reopened High Bridge before our return to Manhattan. Finish is at Riverbank State Park where you are invited to attend the 5BBC members meeting.
