Quickspin Spring Training--Franklin Lakes
Primary tabs
A little further, a little higher. Building on the prior two Quick Spin spring training rides, we'll ride 58 miles out to Franklin Lakes and back, climbing about 2,400 feet in the process.
Highlights: Sneaky "backdoor" outbound route you never knew was there; 7-mile car-free path along the Saddle River; plenty of low-traffic pretty suburban roads; and snack/water breaks in Glen Rock (mile 21), Wyckoff (mile 30), and for lunch in Oradell (mile 40; menu here). Ride with GPS route linked here (subject to last-minute tweaks). Cue sheet and gps file to follow.
Please bring water; money for emergencies/lunch/bail-out trainfare; two spare tubes and means to inflate.
Ride starts and ends at the Charles A Dana Center in Central Park, just south of 110th Street, between 5th and Lenox Aves.
